THERE ARE MANY WINES BUT ONLY UNIQUE STORIES

Back in 2003, Kurt Heinlein decided to travel to Mendoza in search of a vineyard to fulfill an old dream: to establish a family winery business that pays homage to his ancestors (FUNCKE family) thus creating, a legacy for future generations.

After several trips and many kilometers traveled within the province, he found the right place to carry out this objective. Located in San Rafael at 850 meters above sea level, guarded by the Christ who welcomes visitors to the city and blessed on one of its sides by the Diamante River, was the property of his dreams.

It was enough for him to briefly tour that virgin land that filled the view with the captivating Andean foothills to realize that the search had ended and that those 350 hectares were the reward.

It was back in 2005, when advised by the Agricultural Engineer Franco Lucchini, he planted the first 20 hectares with Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. These would give birth to the first wines of 25 de Mayo, San Rafael; the expression of a hitherto unexplored treasure.

As Kurt would say, “I’ve always been lucky.” Others will say that luck is being open to and ready for new opportunities.

We invite you to discover our history and place through our wines. Salud!
